SIR – At 79 years of age I am a bit older than your guest columnist Dave Bradley, but I too am amazed at what the modern phone can do (Worcester News, June 17).
Because I am very hard of hearing, the county sensory impairment team has provided me with one but it is a case more often than not of having to reduce volume rather than turning it up.
The TVs, computers etc, are now being taken for granted.
Things were more peaceful before but however did we manage?
