SIR – If Steve Davis still believes that the Green Party’s policies on the environment are no better than the other parties’, perhaps he would like to join the Green Party so that he can work to improve it from the inside?

In reference to his points about Worcester Bosch (Worcester News, June 15), it is good that in Worcester we have a company where people make energy-efficient gas boilers that help homeowners struggling to meet rising energy costs and trying to cut their carbon footprints.

Similarly, the building industry gives people jobs making homes that are needed as our population is growing, people are living longer and more live singly or in smaller families.

However, the Green Party wants housebuilding of high environmental standards set in real communities: houses that are energy efficient, affordable to live in as well as to buy, with good walking, cycling and public transport links and jobs nearby.
