SIR – I have been following the stories about the gulls. What is going on with people today? Leave the poor gulls alone – so what if they take food.

If they didn’t take too many fish out of the sea, they would not have to come in land to eat. It’s so petty – if it’s not the foxes, it’s the badgers or the rabbits.

For goodness sake, there’s so much cruelty in this world.

It think it’s not the answer to cull every animal that tries to keep itself alive by taking food where it can. There is plenty of waste in this city, discarded food everywhere.

Come on, leave the poor birds alone – there are more things to worry about in this world than birds trying to eat to survive.
