SIR – Re John Shearon’s letter in which he said that shops should ban people wearing hoodies (Worcester News, August 23).
I agree, but only if they ban the burka too.
I’m sorry, but at the end of the day its covering the face regardless of the fact it’s a religious piece of clothing.
As they say, when in Rome do as the Romans do.
Bike helmets are not allowed in banks and post offices (for security reasons) but burkas are.
I am not anti-Muslim or any other religion.
Not everbody who wears the hoodie is a hooligan – at the end of the day it’s a fear of the unknown.
You can’t see the face so you automatically assume they are a thug.
I would like to apologise to anyone I’ve offended but just remember – don’t judge a book by its cover.
