SIR - I think either I must have misunderstood the collection arrangements for the new wheelie bins in Warndon or you must have misreported them (Bins will be wheeled up to your door today).
You see, our last collection was on Friday, September 8, and, according to your article, our next collection - using the wheelie bins - will be October 6 for general refuse and October 13 for recycling waste. Considering that my local community recycling centre at Bilford Road is currently closed and the refuse collectors will only empty the wheelie bin and not take any extra waste bags, what exactly am I and my neighbours expected to do with four weeks' worth of refuse until our next collection? The council states that domestic waste will be collected every two weeks. I think they have a duty to council tax payers to honour their commitments.
