d SIR - Tenants of Worcester Community Housing had to suffer rotting rubbish for a period of more than three months and were subjected to health hazards that could also affect neighbours.

People at Lansdowne Rise had a much smaller problem but again, with communal bins, a polite telephone call to Guy Powell, of Worcester City refuse collection, and action was taken. However, the overall problem of communal bins has not been solved.

Having been one of the many to oppose the wholesale transfer of the council houses to WCH at ridiculously low prices, I don't recall lack of action on health matters and other issues being promoted by WCH in their propaganda regarding the sale of houses.

The loss of on-site wardens is another issue that is still causing distress to some of the more vulnerable elderly tenants. And where are the caring city councilors who couldn't wait to put pen to paper to sell people's homes under the stock transfer?
