SIR – It is good to see that George Cowley is recycling his letters (Worcester News, December 22).
I think I remember another recent letter from him opposing all strikes.
George claims strikes put the police at risk from hooligans but can cite no evidence for this claim.
Is he saying strikers are automatically hooligans?
He also claims strikes cost millions to the taxpayer but the recent public sector strike cost the strikers money.
Strikes happen as a last resort, often when employers have failed to address issues until it is too late.
George wants to ban a democratic right to withdraw labour.
What will be next, a ban on free speech?
