SIR – Re ‘170 homes approved despite concerns’ (Worcester News, September 24).
It is already extremely difficult for vehicles to gain access from St George’s Lane North, Worcester, to Barbourne Road.
For some time it has been known that 84 houses have been approved for Worcester City’s ground when the club vacates in June.
Now a further 170 houses have been sanctioned for the Gregory Bank estate, which is to be closed.
A total of 250 houses means on average three vehicles per home, making 750 more likely to use the junction in question.
At times traffic almost stands still now, so what will happen in a year or two years’ time?
Why not write to Worcestershire County Council, Sustainable Schemes Team, County Hall, Spetchley Road, Worcester WR5 2NP to voice your concerns or e-mail scheme@ worcestershire.gov.uk.
