Police are investigating after a pedestrian was killed on the M5 motorway.

The motorway was closed in both directions after the incident near junction 13 in Gloucestershire, which was reported just after 7.30am on Saturday.

Diversions were put in place between junctions 12 and 14 southbound and junctions 12 and 13 northbound, but both carriageways were later reopened.
