A MALVERN business which has grown from a start-up company based in small offices to a multi-million pound global business has celebrated its 15th birthday.

Pulsar Process Measurement specialises in non-contacting ultrasonic level and flow measurement.

It now operates from a 15,000 square foot purposeequipped factory on the town’s Enigma Business Park.

It also has a similar-sized circuit board assembly plant based in Essex.

Its expertise is in designing and manufacturing level and flow measurement equipment supplied to food and process companies, with key business in the water and wastewater industries all over the world.

Keith Flint, Pulsar’s sales and marketing director, said: “When we first started Pulsar, we knew that we had some good people and good ideas.

“But we only dreamed that we could be this successful.

“Fifteen years on, we can point to some great technology and pat the backs of our R&D people, but this has been a wonderful team effort, lots of hard work and we have been lucky that we have been able to bring together such a great team throughout the entire business.”

Pulsar is an export success story, now with about 60 per cent of its turnover coming from overseas.

“It operate three sales and service centres, a head office in Malvern, plus subsidiaries in the USA and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

“This is together with a network of distributors that together cover most of the world.

“It has received the Queen’s Award for export achievement and has been Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce export business of the year.
