THREE fire crews were called to help police to rescue a man who had fallen in the River Severn in Worcester.
Firefighters from Evesham, Worcester and Malvern went to the scene in Diglis just after 12.30am this morning and used an inflatable boat to rescue the man.
A water first responder team also went along to aid in the rescue efforts.
An ambulance crew, a paramedic in a rapid response vehicle, a paramedic area support officer in a rapid response vehicle and the Trust’s Hazardous Area Response Team attended.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “The emergency services worked together to find the man and get him out of the water.
"He was suffering from hypothermia and was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital.”
