A WORCESTER man who had been in prison for anti-social offences was arrested within 24 hours of his release.
Terry Taylor, of no fixed abode, was released from jail on Thursday, October 1, having completed a 24-week sentence for breaching a previously-imposed Criminal Anti-Social Behaviour Order.
The order prohibits Taylor from various anti-social behaviours as well as prohibiting him from consuming alcohol in any area where such consumption is prohibited by law.
But at 12.45pm the next day, Taylor was arrested for a breach of his order when officers witnessed him drinking alcohol from an open vessel outside the Nat West Bank at the Cross in the centre of Worcester.
Taylor was put before the court once again and has received an 18-week custodial sentence.
Jennifer Willems, South Worcestershire community harm coordinator, said: "The court view this as a serious matter because of the repeat offending history, and his recent release from custody."
