PUPILS from King's St Alban's have been finding out about the music of Bali.
The year 6 pupils enjoyed a Gamelan workshop given by visiting tutor Jonathan Roberts.
The children were able to try out some of the percussion instruments which make up the sound including the
metallophones.
Headteacher Richard Chapman said: "This was a thoroughly hands-on experience, allowing the children to explore Balinese Gamelan and try out these beautiful instruments while learning authentic Balinese music.
"The children have been studying the music of Java and Bali and this was a rare opportunity to take their knowledge and understanding of this style of music to new depths in a fun and inspirational way."
The workshop took place on Tuesday, February 2.
