TWO CONTRASTING private gardens in a small Worcestershire village will be open for the last time this year on Saturday August 27 as part of the National Garden Scheme (NGS).
Visitors will find an array of unusual features, including a small natural swimming pond; sculptures; artefacts and enchanting views from the top orchard at Appletreewick, Burcot, near Bromsgrove.
Just a short walk away at 16 Green Hill, Burcot, a small garden has been created over the past three years for minimum maintenance and all year round colour.
For more information visit http://www.ngs.org.uk/gardens/find-a-garden/Garden.aspx?id=32168
Visitors can park at Fresh, Burcot Garden Centre, Alcester Rd to walk to both gardens. Profits from the sale of refreshments bought at Fresh when people show their NGS ticket will go to the NGS charities. Combined admission is £3.50.
