TRAINS between Great Malvern and Worcester Foregate Street were terminated or delayed due to a signalling fault.
The fault occurred at signals in Henwick, Worcester, at 10.55am, with technicians fixing the problem by 12.05pm.
Scheduled services between the two stations were terminated and trains on the route were stopped.
The barriers at a level crossing near the signals also went down but all of the trains are now running normally.
A London Midland spokesman: "Nothing is moving through Henwick. The signals have gone down.
"Lots of racegoers are affected. [Technicians] hope to fix it shortly.
"Signalling tells drivers whether that section of the track is occupied or not.
"If it is occupied the barriers go down."
A Network Rail spokesman said: "Trains are running as normal now. It looks like all the trains were stopped for a short time."
