UPDATE 8.30pm: Congestion in Worcester city centre due to road closure. Cars are queuing on The Butts leading onto Shaw Street.
FOREGATE Street will be ‘fully closed’ from 7pm tonight (Tuesday, November 21) until 6am tomorrow (Wednesday, November 22) to allow for repairs to a burst water main.
Diversion signage and staff are in place to help guide motorists, while certain one-way orders have been lifted.
City centre businesses are open as usual, however, no taxis will be available from the rank at The Cross through the night.
Temporary traffic lights were installed yesterday after the water pipe burst below the Worcester city centre road, with traffic congestion being caused throughout the afternoon.
