A MAN appears to be being talked down from Worcester Bridge by the police.

An eyewitness said traffic is slow on the approach on Bridge Street, with a fire engine also at the scene.

"He's leaning how you sit on a wall with his legs dangling, facing towards the cathedral," he said.

Three police officers appear to be trying to talk the man down, according to the witness, who drove passed at around 4.20pm.
