VISITORS to Church Green on the weekend enjoyed all the fun of the fair as the last of the summer bandstand events took on a community festival theme.
There was music, stalls, activities, a bouncy castle, food and drinks, and Tommy Wilson’s Funfair.
Performances included It’s a Sign Choir – winners of Redditch has Talent, The Neil Jones Experience, Alcester Musical Theatre Company, Olivia’s Dancers and Oya Batucada Samba Band with Samba Dancers, which led a community parade from outside the Palace Theatre through the Kingfisher Centre to the bandstand.
Councillor Bill Hartnett said: "All who attended had a great time. We had lots of attractions and entertainment with lots of stalls to look around as well as the fun fair.
"I, along with many others, joined in the parade through the town centre and through the Kingfisher Shopping Centre. It was a joy to see people having a good time and all the smiling faces."
He added a big thank you to event organiser Sue Yeng and all who help make it a special day.
