SPORTS clubs in Redditch are being invited to the next Redditch Sports Club Forum to get free professional support and advice.

The Sports Club Forums are an annual series of free forums, organised by the Sports Development team at Redditch Borough Council and they provide a platform for local sports clubs to discuss their needs and identify areas where they may require support, such as funding, data protection and marketing.

Forum members will receive information and updates on local and national developments, new initiatives, campaigns and schemes that are available.

The latest forum will have speakers and advisors covering GDPR, club development and funding opportunities and mental health awareness in a sporting environment.

There will also be expert presentations and workshops, advice and support on key topics and challenges facing sports clubs, a chance to meet local council officers and organisations, and the opportunity to talk to other clubs and share best practice and professional experience.

Lucy Walton, club and coach development officer, said: “The Sports Club Forums are a great way to boost sporting spirit for local clubs as well as providing them with the opportunity to network and learn valuable hints and tips. Please get in touch if you think your club could benefit.”

The first of this year’s Sports Club Forums will be held on Wednesday, September 25 from 6pm until 8pm at Redditch Town Hall.
