PUB-goers can enjoy a selection of 30 exclusive and award-winning beers from independent British craft brewers during a 12-day festival in Bromsgrove.

The Golden Cross Hotel in the high street is hosting the beer festival from Wednesday, October 10 to Sunday, October 21.

Pub manager Cassie Harwood said: "The festival is the perfect opportunity to showcase the wonderful range of beers from independent British craft brewers.

"It will give people the opportunity to enjoy a superb selection of the beers that they brew, many of which have not been served in the pub before.

"The festival promises to be great fun and I am certain that my customers will enjoy themselves."

Beers on offer include Coach House's Blueberry Classic Bitter, Jurassic Dark by Dorset, Jemima's Pitchfork by Glamorgan and Robinsons' Freddy Brewger.

Hopy and Glory by Brentwood, Salopian's Hop Twister, St Austell's Big Job and Wheel of Fortune by Castle Rock will also be available to try.

Each of the brewers is a member of the Society of Independent Brewers, an organisation which promotes small independent brewers and their beers.

The Wetherspoon pub will also be serving five UK-produced ciders including Mr Whitehead's Toffee Apple, Rich's Legbender and Broadoak's Premium Perry.

All beers and ciders will be priced at £2.15 a pint.

Customers will be able to sample any three of the real ales or ciders in special third-of-a-pint glasses for the price of one full pint. Tasting notes of all beers and ciders will be available at the bar.
