A MAN has been charged with rape in connection with an incident in Redditch town centre.
The victim was said to have been attacked in Alcester Street in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Police taped off part of the area as forensics teams searched for clues at the crime scene.
Photos show the scene as a forensic officer is seen carrying out searches outside the Post Office and entrance to the Kingfisher Shopping Centre.
Kenneth Hall, aged 56 of Haresfield Close, Redditch, was charged on Sunday, (September 30) with one count of rape of a woman aged 16 or over.
He appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on Monday (October 1) and will next appear at Worcester Crown Court on October 29.
A police spokesman said: "The charge is in connection with an incident on Alcester Street, Redditch, at around 2.50am on Saturday, September 29."
