THE inquest hearing into the death of Bromsgrove teen Tom Jones has been set for January 22 next year at Worcestershire Coroner's Court in Stourport.

The 18-year-old University of Worcester student went missing last month after a night out, prompting a major search, before his body was found in the River Severn.

His death is currently being treated as unexplained, with the inquest initially opened and immediately adjourned on October 3.

Two men were arrested on suspicion of murder prior to the discovery of the body, but were released with no further action to be taken.

Flowers left in memory of Tom were removed from Sabrina Bridge last week, following discussions between his parents and the county and city councils.

Potted flowers will be planted in Cripplegate Park in Worcester as a lasting memorial and cut flowers are being composted. Non-floral tributes are being stored by the city council.
