A CHARITY Christmas fair in the Cotswolds is set to launch next week with a special visitor.

The Christmas Fair in the Cotswolds at Daylesford, in support of the national children’s charity WellChild, kicks off the festive preparations next week.

Great British Bake Off judge Prue Leith will be signing books on the opening Monday of the event, November 5.

At the three day fair there will be more than 200 stalls, in three marquees, which will be selling unique products including luxury fashion, home accessories, children’s toys and culinary treats.

Specialising in quality designed pieces from the UK’s leading designers, the Christmas Fair is a rare opportunity to meet designers and purchase products direct from the creative source.

A range of festive workshops will also take place throughout the fair with delicious home-grown food and refreshments available to enjoy.

Following on from last year’s appearance by Richard Maggs, the Aga Doctor and author of the hugely successful series of Aga Tips, there will be cookery demonstrations again this year with Aga specialist Marcia Poole in the kitchen kindly supplied by Heaven and Stubbs.

Organised and run by a dedicated group of volunteers, 10 per cent of all sales at the event are donated to WellChild, the children's charity helping to get seriously ill children and young people out of hospital and home to their families.
