A MAN has sustained potentially life-threatening head and chest injuries at Queenswood Country Park today.

Emergency services were called to an accident at the woodland in Dinmore Hill this morning. 

Police said they were called at 11.42am. 

A police spokesman said the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is involved. 

A man has been taken to a major trauma centre with potentially serious injuries after an incident in Queenswood Country Park.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called at just after 11am.

Two ambulances, a paramedic officer, two BASICS doctors were sent to the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “The man was found on the ground beside some trees.

“He was assessed and treated at the scene for potentially serious injuries.

“The man was taken on blue lights to the major trauma centre at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.  He was accompanied by a BASICS doctor until the ambulance rendezvoused with the MERIT trauma doctor at Bromyard"

A HSE spokeswoman said: “HSE is aware of the incident and investigating the circumstances alongside police. We cannot comment further at this time.”
