MALVERN Hills District Council is looking for young people to have their say on the future of the district.

People aged 11 to 18 are invited to two workshops on Thursday, January 17 and 21, to look at the results of the district council’s Bigger Picture Survey.

Participants will look at the feedback from the 29-question survey to help come up with ways to improve services to meet young people’s needs.

The questions focused on hobbies, important issues, life after school, mental and physical health and community safety.

Nearly 1,300 responses were received from young people across the district, including Upton and Malvern.

Council leader David Chambers said: “Young people remain the key group that we consistently fail to hear from whenever we engage with our residents and over the last 18 months we have been doing a lot of work to try and change that.

“Now we want to discuss the results of the survey and come up with some recommendations to take us forward. We want young people to be a part of that discussion with our officers and councillors.”

Anyone interested will need the permission of their parents, who are welcome to accompany them.
