A LONG-running Hereford club night will be celebrating its birthday in style next month.

Temple of Bass began 16 years ago and has welcomed some of the biggest names in underground music to various locations in the city.

Guy di Guy is the main promoter and is promising music fans an "eclectic blend of funk, soul, breaks, disco and big beats".

The man behind Temple Records – now Hereford's last surviving music shop – will DJ and be joined by Rastey, a fellow war torn veteran of the temple, from 8pm to 1am.

Bromyard's Dex will also be coming out of retirement for the party on Saturday, March 2, at the Babar cafe on Union Street.

"The venue is Hereford's answer to the alternative scene which has been long needed," added Guy di Guy.
