REDDITCH MP Rachel Maclean recently joined the Redditch Conservatives team as they formally submitted their Future High Streets Fund bid.

Councillor Julian Grubb joined Rachel in Westminster to officially handover the town’s bid to the Minister for Local Growth Jake Berry MP.

Conservative-led Redditch Borough Council is bidding for a share of the £675 million fund, announced by the Conservative Government last year, which can be used by towns to transform their high streets.

Now the town’s bid has been officially submitted, The MP has said she will continue to lobby Ministers to ensure Redditch is at the forefront of their minds when they come to make a decision.

Rachel said: “A lot of hard work and effort has gone into developing this bid which will stand the town in good stead when Ministers allocate funding to successful bids.

“The work doesn’t stop here. I’ll continue to lobby Ministers and press the case for Redditch to receive its fair share of this vital funding.

“Conservative-led Redditch Borough Council have ambitious plans for the future of our town and to unlock its full potential. This funding will help support their vision for the future of Redditch.”
