GREEN-fingered young gardeners from Bromsgrove's Pre-Preparatory School have taken full advantage of recent good weather by spending time in their sensory garden.

The garden has been specially designed to stimulate the children's senses by providing a calming and quiet area.

Nursery manager Jo Townsend said: "We have a wonderful selection of plants, lavender, rosemary and mint to stimulate smell, violas and nasturtium for sight and wild flowers which attract butterflies and bees.

"The children also love spending time in the garden and watching the activity in the insect hotel and butterfly box.

"They also delight in watching their tomatoes, cucumber and lettuces grow. And they can't wait to see how their pumpkins turn out - hopefully in time for Halloween."
