A BROMSGROVE pub is hoping to chug down a regional award - for the construction of its new restaurant.
The Dodford Inn has been named as a finalist at the West of England Building Excellence Awards which take place next month.
Its new restaurant, which has been added on to the pub, has been nominated in the 'Award for Best Small Commercial Project' category.
Architects Forrester Associates and building firm JTR Builders, both Bromsgrove companies, were involved in its construction.
The building has made use of reclaimed materials wherever possible and has been completed to the highest standards of energy efficiency and uses renewable energy for heating source.
The owners, the Myatt family, Dave, Gina, Becky and Ben said: "We are very proud of the pub and the grounds.
"This nomination has recognised all the efforts of the team - let's hope we get through to the National Finals."
