STAFF at two Dudley nurseries are celebrating after they beat over 1,000 nurseries across the West Midlands to be voted in the top twenty early years providers in the region by parents.

The Learning Journey Day Nurseries, in Holly Hall and Bromley, received the award from nursery reviews website daynurseries.co.uk based on the nursery’s reviews from the children’s families and carers.

The nurseries were rated for their overall standard, taking into consideration facilities, learning, resources and equipment and ICT, care, activities, staff, food and nutrition, management, cleanliness, safeguarding and value for money.

Penny Virdee, owner and manager of The Learning Journey Day Nurseries said: “We are ecstatic that for the fifth year running we have received awards for the top twenty nurseries in the West Midlands.

"We are truly pleased to accept awards for both our Bromley and Holly Hall sites. Our ethos is to offer an enriching and inspiring experience to our parents and little ones.

"We are proud of our nursery and the nurturing, family environment that we have created, with a dedicated team who can’t wait to care for and educate your child. We are really thankful to all of our managers, staff and parents for helping us maintain our excellent standards, who are equally proud of our massive achievements."

The company has recently opened a site at the Waterfront in Brierley Hill and is looking to open a further site in Kingswinford.

Amanda Hopkins, reviews manager of daynurseries.co.uk, said: “We would like to congratulate both The Learning Journey Day Nurseries on being rated by parents as two of the top nurseries in the West Midlands. Being chosen by family and carers of children that attend the setting is a huge achievement.

“Reviews of the Top 20 nurseries show these settings offer children stimulating and nurturing environments, which boosts their social and emotional wellbeing and enhances their learning."
