A CITY landmark is celebrating 90 years as a public museum this year, with free admission for children during the summer.
Built in 1621, the Black and White House started life as a butcher’s home, finishing its commercial life in the hands of Lloyds Bank before becoming a museum in 1929.
To celebrate the anniversary, ignite CiC will deliver a weekend of free crafting suitable for children and adults.
Crafts and activities on offer from 10.30am to 3.30pm on July 26 include bunting making, model building, while a 1920s dance session will take place from 11.30am to 12.15pm.
Visitors on July 27 can join a dry printing workshop or create 1920s inspired beaded bunting from 10.30am to 3.30pm, and a 1920s dance session will take place from 1.15pm to 2pm.
There will also be plenty of hands-on activities on offer over the school holidays, with period fancy dress, puzzles and a ‘Find the Rat’ trail to complete.
