The M5 was closed between junctions 10 and 11 southbound after a fatal crash today (August 8).
The motorway was closed between junctions 10 and 11 southbound after a driver reported a car down an embankment off the motorway shortly before 5.30am.
After emergency services attended, the man inside was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have established that the man got on the M5 at junction 4A at Bromsgrove and travelled down the M5 between 10.30pm and 11.30pm last night before the accident happened.
Police closed the motorway while they investigated at the scene. There were lengthy delays before it re-opened at 2.30pm.
Anyone with information on the crash should call the police on 101 and quote incident number 72 8/8/19.
