MODEL railway enthusiasts from Redditch are invited to a returning pop-up show at the Kingfisher Shopping Centre.

The Redditch Model Railway Club is full steam ahead preparing their show, which will take place on Saturday, August 17 and Sunday, August 18.

The free event will give shoppers the opportunity to see working layouts close-up and even get a chance to drive a model train.

Visitors can also enter a free prize draw to win a train set.

This taster event is a prelude to the annual Redditch Model Railway Exhibition, which will over the weekend of the September 21 and 22.

The exhibition will be held at the Trinity High School and will feature even more working layouts which have been drawn from all over the country, together with specialist trade stands.

Under 16s can attend the event for free with an accompanying adult.

Guy Craddock, Redditch Model Railway Club Exhibition Manager, said: "It is a great opportunity for visitors to see what railway modelling is all about and we look forward to welcoming visitors from far and wide to both our forthcoming events”.

More details on both events can be found at www.redditch-mrc.com.

The Redditch Model Railway Club was formed in 1967, when a group of like minded railway modellers got together.
