A COUNTRY music festival in Ross-on-Wye has exceeded the £50,000 mark as it continues to raise money for St Michael's Hospice.

The 17th Ross-on-Wye country music festival was held at the Ross Sports Centre in July in memory of promoter Colin Gray.

The money raised from this year’s festival will go to St Michaels Hospice, with the current total raised almost £53,000.

Artists performing at the festival included Memphis Belle, Amy Morgan, George McIntosh, Martin Jaye and Kalibre plus Ridgeway County, all alongside resident artist Ben Thompson.

The event also featured weekend camping, plus a licensed bar and hot and cold food with around £6,000 raised during the festival on July 12-14.
