A MAN who threatened security staff at the Kingfisher Centre in Redditch has been sent to jail.

John Abbott was jailed for 15 weeks after he admitted the offence at Worcestershire Magistrates Court.

Abbott, aged 55, of no fixed abode, was told the offence was serious because it was committed in a public place and because he had previously been released from custody for a similar crime.

Also before the magistrates, Aleksander Andrzejewski, aged 35, of Mount Pleasant, Redditch, was fined £660 and ordered to pay costs of £85 and a £66 victim surcharge after he was convicted of failing to provide information relating to the driver of a vehicle guilty of an alleged offence.

He was further banned from driving for six months due to repeat offending.

Philip Coggins, 38, of Whitchurch Close, Oakenshaw, was ordered to pay £100 costs after pleading guilty to breaching a criminal behaviour order by using foul, threatening and abusive words.
