UPTON Baptist Church is calling on residents and community groups to get involved in this year's shoebox appeal.
The appeal is for knitted wear, toiletries, small toys, notebooks, colouring books and small cuddly toys for children.
Items can be left at Upton Baptist church until Friday, November 22. On this day between 9.30am and midday there will be a Shoebox filling workshop and anyone who wishes to come along is welcome.
Once filled, the boxes will be given to young people and families in poorer areas of the world, in particular across Eastern Europe and parts of Africa, in time for Christmas.
The boxes are distributed by Teams4U partners and volunteers and it costs £2.50 to send a box across the world.
