BROMSGROVE’S family friendly bonfire and fireworks spectacular is returning to Sanders Park.

The popular event is on Saturday, November 2 and will include a funfair as well as live music from Skabucks, Titans of Rock, and Kezza Belle.

Hosted by Malcolm Boyden from BBC Hereford & Worcester there will of course be a bonfire and fireworks.

The musical theme for the firework display will be ‘to the Moon and back’, in honour of this year’s 50th anniversary of the moon landing.

Bromsgrove District Council is hosting the event in partnership with Primrose Hospice.

Cllr Phil Thomas, the district council’s portfolio holder for leisure, cultural services, and community safety, said: “We’re delighted to announce that once again we’re teaming up with the Primrose Hospice as we put on another great event in the park, which benefits a great local cause.”

Emma Williams, Primrose Hospice fundraising manager, added: “We always look forward to the bonfire and fireworks spectacular in Sanders Park as it is a great evening for all the family.

“We hope everyone has a wonderful evening and we can’t wait to see the night’s sky lit up with fireworks.”

Gates will open for the funfair and music at 5pm ahead of the bonfire at 7pm, and then the fireworks display will be at 7.30pm.

Kidderminster Road will be closed to vehicle traffic from 5pm until 9pm on the night.
