HEREFORD'S Old Market is gearing up to get into the festive spirit this weekend.
The shopping centre will be hosting a day of free seasonal activities and switching on its Christmas lights on November 17.
The celebrations will include a ‘Merry Bricks-mas’ Lego Station which will be on site from 11am to 4pm where children can create their own festive builds.
Mrs Claus will also be on hand to award prizes for the standout designs, including discounted tickets to the LEGOLAND Discovery Centre in Birmingham.
Santa will be spreading his Christmas cheer as he greets shoppers throughout Old Market, while a traditional brass band will be playing a range of Christmas classics.
The shopping centre’s Christmas lights will be officially switched on at 4.30pm.
The multi-storey car park is now fully open again following the recent essential maintenance work, and there will be free parking after 4pm every Wednesday, with late-night shopping until 8pm at selected stores from November 20 until Christmas.
