A REPEAT offender has been given a suspended jail sentence after he admitted driving without a licence or insurance.

Clinton Copeland, aged 34, from Glebe Road, Alvechurch was told by Worcestershire magistrates that his record was an aggravating feature as he was sentenced to 16 weeks in prison suspended for 12 months.

Copeland was further banned from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay £135 costs and a £122 victim surcharge.

Also before Worcestershire magistrates:

Anthony Scotford, aged 20 of Shepherds Court, Droitwich, was banned from driving for 12 months after he pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol in his breath and excess amounts of a controlled drug in his blood.

Scotford was also fined £330 and ordered to pay £135 costs and a £33 victim surcharge.

Wesley Hunter, aged 23, from Finstall Road, Bromsgrove, was jailed for 10 weeks after magistrates activated a suspended sentence imposed after he had been convicted in August of stealing jewellery and three coats from Marks and Spencer.

Hunter admitted failing to comply with the terms of a community order imposed with the original sentence.
