OVER the Christmas period some households in Herefordshire will have their recycling and rubbish bins emptied on different days to normal.
No collections will be carried out on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year's Day
Households normally due collections on those days will have waste collected on an alternative day.
Collections which would have fallen on Wednesday, December 25 will instead be carried out on Saturday, December 28.
The new collection date for Thursday, December 26 will be Sunday, December 29 and Wednesday, January 1 collections will be mad on Saturday, January 4.
Even households not affected by the alternative dates should make sure bins are put out by 6.30am as collections may be earlier over the festive period.
Household recycling centres across Herefordshire will be open as usual over the Christmas period, except for Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
Real Christmas trees can be composted with garden waste at tips in the county.
