Agriculture, especially hop-growing, is represented, as are some associated agricultural trades including coopering and farrier work.

Visitors can find items relating to the commercial, civic and domestic life of Tenbury Wells and its surrounding districts, particularly from the late 19th/mid-20th centuries.

As a small museum it has been unable to accommodate large items.

But there is an expanding image and ephemera collection as well as a small audio collection of Tenbury memories recorded in association with Tenbury U3A.

There has been a requirement for larger premises nearer the Centre of the town for many years.

The museum is staffed by volunteer stewards whose role is to ensure that visitors have as enjoyable a time as possible whilst also looking after the collection.

It is dependent upon its volunteers and is always looking for more stewards, no previous experience is necessary.

But the main requirement is enthusiasm and a bit of local knowledge and interest in the history of the area.

The public meeting is on Wednesday, February 12 at 7.30pm in the Community Centre behind the Regal.
