A BRAND new men's shed in Malvern is opening its doors for the first time to showcase the opportunities available within.

The Malvern Men's Shed is holding open events from February 24 to 28 between 11am and 2pm, and has been initially funded by Community Action.

The facility will allow users to meet other like-minded people, share interests and knowledge and put their creative skills into action.

There are also plans for a session where women will be invited to attend.

Corinne Phillips from Community Action said “We are really excited to have been able to set up the Men’s Shed project in Malvern.

"We are confident that it will fulfil a real need amongst the local community, and we are pleased to say that so far, the response has been very encouraging. We look forward to watching the initiative develop over the coming months."

The drop-in events will provide visitors with the chance to chat with existing ‘shedders’, have a look round the shed and find out first-hand about the benefits of getting involved.

Representatives of Community Action will also be on hand to answer questions and provide more information. Malvern Men’s Shed can be found at 4 Newtown Road, Link Top, Malvern. WR14 1NZ.
