THE mystery of the floral queen photo has been solved – and you can see it for yourself after the exhibition it is displayed in re-opened following damage to the gallery roof.
A Herefordshire Life Through a Lens at the Hereford Museum and Art Gallery showcases a wealth of original exhibition prints and photography artefacts from the Derek Evans Studio archive.
The floral queen has now been identified by her nephew Philip Baldwin, as Rosalind “Toss” Hargest from Wormbridge. She was 17 in 1951.
The exhibition continues at five venues across Hereford into March. Check herefordshirelifethroughalens.org.uk for details.
