A SUPERMOON lit up the sky over Herefordshire last night.
And members of the Hereford Times Camera Club were ready with their cameras to capture a shot of the first full moon of April, which goes by names including the Pink Moon, Egg Moon and Fish Moon.
While the supermoon rose at 6.55pm yesterday, it was at its fullest in the early hours of the morning. James Robinson was up at 3.35am this morning to take the perfect picture
Fellow Camera Club member Karl Ryan was also ready with his camera to capture the moment.
Early riser Sandra Dew set her alarm to catch the moon at its biggest and brightest.
"It was my first time ever to get a shot of the moon, not perfect but I'm happy and so excited," Sandra said.
Mike King headed outside to catch the supermoon on camera (above and below) at 6.20am this morning.
In Bobblestock, Hereford, Agata Agata caught April's first full moon peeking through the branches this morning.
And Hugh Darcy snapped this eerie shot of a tree lit up by the moonlight.
This month's supermoon is the second in a trilogy that began with March's full moon, and ends with a third on May 7.
During a supermoon, the diameter of the moon can appear to be about 14 per cent greater than an average full moon.
