A MAN has been arrested after cops found him hiding in a Wendy house during a police search in the Oldswinford area of Stourbridge in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday).

Officers from Brierley Hill Police Station were called out to reports of a man searching cars on driveways in Lutley Drive at around 2.15am.

A police search ensued and one of the West Midlands Police search dogs was drafted in to try to find the suspect who was quickly tracked to St Mary's Church in Rectory Road and found within the nursery playground - hiding in a Wendy house.

The man was then arrested on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle.

Police say several cars in Lutley Drive were found to have been searched and they are now appealing for the owner of a wallet which was found (pictured below) to get in touch with them by calling the 101 non-emergency number, or via Live Chat on the force website, and quote log number 348 20/5/20.
