THREE brand new events are being planned at the Three Counties Showground.

Preparations for the events began after the government’s announcement live outdoor events could take place, with modifications and improvements made.

The first Showground Saturday takes place this Saturday, July 25.

Diana Walton, Three Counties Showground's head of shows, said it will feature a dog show and open air market with locally sourced produce, plants and crafts.

"It’s a day of summertime fun and freedom, a chance to enjoy the vast open space on the showground at the foot of the Malvern Hills," she said.

"Visitors may like to bring a family picnic and games or explore the 100 acre of grounds - perfect for dog walking.

"A range of takeaway hot and cold drinks and snacks will also be available to purchase."

Tickets cost £5 per car and are available from the Three Counties website.

Meanwhile the Three Counties Food and Drink Feast is being held on August 22.

Organisers say it will be a treat for everybody’s taste buds with a showcase of local produce and globally-inspired street food as over 120 stands will be set throughout the showground.

Visitors to the event will also enjoy live music.

And the third new event is the Malvern Plant and Garden Fair, which has been scheduled for September 12 and 13.

Organisers are planning for plant lovers and gardeners to enjoy "the best autumn plants sale in the country".

"Our regular visitors will have the opportunity to stock up with their plant fixes from their favourite specialist nursery growers, it’s the last chance of the season and a perfect opportunity to buy bulbs and start planning spring projects’," Diana Walton said.

"With over 50 nurseries expected and a further 120 garden sundries, crafts and food trade stands it’s going to be a jam packed weekend not to be missed."
