REAL ale enthusiasts are set for a treat when an annual beer festival returns to Wolverley later this month.

Following the success of the last three years, organisers of Wolverley’s fourth Beer Festival say it will be bigger and better than ever.

It will be held at Wolverley Memorial Hall for three days from Friday, September 21 to Sunday, September 23 with festivities kicking off at 6pm on the first evening.

The event will feature live music throughout for people to enjoy as they work their way through an array of beers, ciders and gins. Hot food will be available throughout the event.

Proceeds raised from the event will be donated to the Wolverley Memorial Project.

A spokesman for the event said: “We will showcase over 40 local beers, ales, lagers and ciders alongside Wolverley’s best musical artists and special guests who have offered their services for free in support of the organisers, the Wolverley Memorial Project.

“Friday and Saturday are dedicated to beer and music, with some great local musicians and bands set to entertain the festival goers.

“Headlining the opening night will be The Secret Cabaret and on Saturday evening local favourites, The Missing Lynx will rock the festival.

“Last year’s Gin Bar was very popular, so it’s back again with a new selection of British Gins all presented with the perfect garnish. Sponsored by local distillers Hintons Gin, their Wyre Forest and Regatta gins will be an absolute must for all gin lovers!”

Opening times for the event are Friday 6-11pm, Saturday 12pm–11pm and Sunday 12pm–5pm.

There is an ‘early bird’ booking discount of £15 and includes entry with wristband valid for ALL 3 days, as well as a limited edition souvenir glass and an eight token card (worth 4 pints of beer, lager or cider, also valid for wine and gin drinks purchases).

Entry and Beer Tokens can be bought on the day while the early bird offer is available at www.wolverleymemorial.org.
