A MUM and daughter duo from Clows Top will take on their 11th 26-mile 'MoonWalk' to support breast cancer research.

Julia and her 29-year-old daughter Laura Woodison are training to complete another MoonWalk London on May 11 for charity Walk the Walk - and they're doing it all in decorated bras to show their unity in the fight against breast cancer.

This will be the pair's 11th MoonWalk, which sees fundraisers tackle on one of two leisurely 26.2 or 13.1-mile routes - starting and finishing at Walk the Walk's big pink tent in Clapham Common.

Julia, 54, said: "Myself and my daughter Laura have been doing The MoonWalk for the last 10 years - this being our 11th time.

"We started our training and really got into it - it was hard going at times, but we surprised ourselves at how much fitter and energetic we felt, even though we have always been active.

"Laura and I have always been close and The MoonWalk is a great event to do together.

"When we are on our long training walks, we are able to have a good chat – Laura is getting married two weeks after The MoonWalk so there is a lot of wedding talk. This year Laura’s fiancé is also walking with us.

"Part of the experience and fun each year is deciding how to decorate our bras, and we now have quite a collection.

"After the first MoonWalk, Laura and I got addicted and really enjoy the whole experience – we couldn’t imagine not doing it, plus it is also a great way of keeping fit.”

Money raised from the event will fund research into breast cancer and help to improve the lives of those living with cancer now.
