BIKE riders are invited to a whole week of of activities designed to encourage cycling in the Bewdley.

The Bewdley Bike Week will take place during the half term holiday, between May 25 and May 31, with events including a social rides, coaching, and challenges.

On Bank Holiday Monday, the Bewdley Bike Jam at Jubilee Gardens will host demo bikes, coaching, ultimate skills track, a free bike check and tune service, security marking, special cycle challenges and useful information for cycling in and around Bewdley.

Severn Valley Railway are supporting the week with their Rail and Ride event, where cyclists can enjoy the historic adventure with their bikes.

There will be a guided social ride for experienced and novice riders through the countryside, where cyclists can ride for either 20 or 60 miles.

There will also be Bikeability coaching, also known as cycling proficiency, and Open Trail’s Learn To Ride sessions for all ages looking ride without stabilisers.

Before cyclists start the week they can drop into the Bewdley Repair Cafe's bike special on Saturday May 18, where they can get basic repairs sorted for free.
