BEWDLEY Festival will welcome a long-running and prolific broadcaster at this year's event to delight audiences.

Birmingham-born broadcaster Adrian Chiles will talk about his life through stories on Tuesday October 15 at the Festival Theatre.

Adrian will be interviewed by Gerry Foley on the evening, and Q and A session will follow.

The versatile broadcaster fronted ITV’s football coverage between 2010 and 2015, including the Champions League, Euros, two World Cups and England internationals.

He also co- presented Daybreak with his long-time on-screen partner Christine Bleakley in 2010 and 2011, The One Show , Match of the Day 2 , The Apprentice: You’re Fired, and Working Lunch.

In August 2018, Chiles presented a BBC 2 documentary entitled Drinkers Like Me in which he admitted to previously regularly drinking in excess of 100 units of alcohol per week and investigated why alcohol had become such a big part of his life at that time.

People will be able to hear stories from the man himself and discover what the broadcaster has planned for the future.

Tickets for the event cost £20 and are available online at bewdleyfestival.org.uk or from St Georges Hall.
